Description:
This course is for
those that want to learn more and then take off with it. We will look at tools
that incorporate the 21st Century Learning Skills (collaboration,
communication, creativity, cooperation) into your classroom. Learn how to
monitor/interact with your studentsŐ computers and send surveys and tests out
to their desktops. Understand the power that Glogster has for student displays.
Finally get proficient at Smartboard presentations.
Implement the Soundlift system that may be in your
classroom right now. Have time to work with podcasting, blogging, video and
digital photography. We will also spend time getting you connected with other
21st Century teachers through various social media networks (Twitter, RSS
Feeds). Plenty of time will be dedicated to letting you explore and push the
envelope.
About the Instructor: Peter
Kidwell is the Integration Specialist at Weston Middle School. He is versed in
MAC, PC and a range of current technology innovations. He has presented
numerous workshops for Weston, EDCO and at the Masscue
Conference.
